Paradise Ranch hand Dusty finds his match in the Boston school mistress and cousin to Genevieve, Jane. Vivi Hilt continues her pattern of women overcoming adversity with Jane moving to Montana to escape the stigma attached to having felons as parents. This novel has mostly a newsy plot as a good portion is filled with letters between Genevieve and Jane but it also contains wonderful updates on all ranch dwellers, and the sweet romance between Dusty and Jane.

Great book by a great writer
Interesting read, recommended with the first book in the series.
The old and new characters were woven together in the perfect way. They were easy to get to like and want it to end just like it did
I really enjoyed this book. This book has wonderful characters and a wonderful plot. I had a hard time putting this wonderful book down. I am looking forward to reading more books in this wonderful series.
I enjoyed reading Winds of Paradise. Vivi Holt is an entertaining and accomplished writer. Readers can identify with her well-developed characters and her realistic portrayal of the old American West. I felt as if I were observing the scenarios in this novel in person, rather than just reading about them.
Another wonderful book by Vivi Holt. I love her way of writing it has a way of taking you on a fantastic journey with her dearly loved characters. The pure tender romance just melts your heart. I hope there will be lots more in this wonderful series. I was totally smitten with Dusty and his loving ways towards Jane. Do your self a big favor and get this book, find some cozy place to curl up in and read this wonderful story.
Vivi Holt has blended the Old West, most specifically historical Montana's Paradise Valley, with some romance and some sad experiences in such a way that the reader may find that things were different from impressions some history books gave While Ms. Holt does not claim to be a historian, she does use some historical facts to build this story. I enjoyed reading this book and think you will also. Apparently teachers had to walk a straight and narrow path in those days. (Thankfully, I taught much later, although we still used chalkboards sometimes.)
